Round Cut Lab-Grown Diamond Engagement Rings
A round lab-grown diamond engagement ring begins with the cut most engineered for light. The round brilliant's 57 precisely angled facets are designed to return light through the stone's table with maximum efficiency, a property that makes cut grade the single most consequential quality variable for this shape. A stone graded excellent or ideal reflects light back through the top with near-total efficiency; a lower cut grade allows light to escape through the pavilion, reducing visible brilliance regardless of color or carat. Ecksand's in-house gemmologists assess cut grade, symmetry, and polish first when selecting round brilliant lab-grown stones, before color and clarity are considered. Every stone above the threshold carries an IGI certificate confirming all four grading criteria independently. This sequence of assessment is not standard across the industry, and it is the basis of every ring that leaves the Montreal atelier.
