Classic Solitaire Engagement Rings
Classic Solitaire holds a single stone, and nothing else.
It is where the Maison began: the first engagement ring Ecksand made in 2009, and the form that set its commitment to proportion, purpose, and conscious craft. Designed in Montreal by Creative Director Erica Bianchini, the solitaire is pared to its essential line, intentional and exact, with nothing between the eye and the stone.
Clarity governs the silhouette. Each setting is drawn to balance structure with an uninterrupted flow of light, so the ethical centre stone takes its place without competition. Crafted in Canada from solid recycled gold or sustainable platinum, Classic Solitaire holds natural diamonds, lab-grown diamonds, or vivid coloured gemstones, chosen for brilliance and traceable provenance. Every curve and bearing point is shaped to hold the single-stone line true.
Within Ecksand's vertically integrated Montreal atelier, the setting is calibrated by hand: prong geometry, bearing depth, and gallery alignment drawn to exact tension around the stone. The structure is hand-finished with a multi-stage polish that sharpens the silhouette's clean lines.
Classic Solitaire holds a range of centre-stone shapes: round, oval, emerald, radiant, and beyond. You choose the colour, carat, and clarity; Ecksand's artisans engineer the architecture that carries it.
The first principle, set by hand, for the woman who knows that one thing, done right, is enough.
