Estate Engagement Rings
Estate inherits through character, not time.
The word arrives heavy with history: the codes of another era, jewels that carried the weight of time. Estate lets that association settle, then reframes it. Designed in Montreal by Creative Director Erica Bianchini, these are non-traditional engagement rings shaped by a single conviction: the modern estate piece is no longer defined by age. It is defined by identity.
Where the old heirloom carried the codes of an era, an Estate ring carries the imprint of a person. An asymmetrical setting. An unconventional cut. A signature mechanism. A sculptural profile. These become the markers of a temperament, a way of moving through the world, and over time the ring gathers its gravity not by following convention, but by remaining unmistakably hers.
Each Estate ring is crafted in Canada from solid recycled gold or sustainable platinum, set with natural diamonds, lab-grown diamonds, or vivid coloured stones chosen for brilliance and traceable provenance. Within Ecksand's vertically integrated Montreal atelier, every setting is drawn by hand: thickness, height, and bearing angles refined to hold the stone with structural assurance, then finished with a multi-stage polish that defines the line.
Estate holds a range of centre-stone shapes: round, oval, emerald, radiant, and beyond. Bearing depth, prongless tension structures, and gallery geometry are recalibrated for each stone, structure honouring sculptural line. You choose the colour, carat, and clarity; Ecksand's artisans engineer the architecture that carries it.
An heirloom inherited not through time, but through character, for the woman whose ring could belong to no one else.
