Creative Director Erica Bianchini leads a passionate team committed to making the high-end jewelry shopping experience more earth-friendly. Founded on the belief that jewelry companies have a responsibility to ensure ethical practices at every point in their supply chain, Erica has shaped Ecksand into a sanctuary where time-honored techniques are used to transform precious raw materials into everlasting treasures. Ecksand bridges the gap between price and quality, a long-standing goal in the jewelry industry, and emphasizes transparency as part of a larger movement towards a more sustainable future.

Co-founder and CEO Yoan Gehant-Vidoni, drawing on his background in import and wholesale, recognized that much of the price in fine jewelry stems not from quality, but from unnecessary markups along the supply chain. For decades, high-end jewelry has been synonymous with towering markups. Layer upon layer of added costs, from intermediaries to inflated luxury pricing. 

By sourcing directly and crafting entirely in-house, Ecksand dismantles this outdated model, delivering exceptional craftsmanship and French-Canadian heritage without the artificial price tags. No middlemen, no inflated pricing. Here, luxury is defined by artistry. 

At the core of Ecksand's operations is our state-of-the-art workshop in Montreal, Canada. Here, our skilled artisans bring each design to life entirely by hand, ensuring that every detail meets our exacting standards. This vertical integration, from design conception to final polish, allows us to maintain complete quality assurance at every stage of production. 

Designed with productivity and purpose in mind, our atelier fosters a safe and pleasant working environment. We prioritize environmental responsibility by filtering used water before it returns to the Earth, and capturing all volatile polishing compounds with specially engineered vacuum systems. By controlling the entire manufacturing process, we guarantee that each piece not only reflects our commitment to sustainability but also embodies the unique artistry that sets Ecksand apart.

On top of being ecologically friendly, all Ecksand’s gold is 100% recycled and has zero porosity, which makes your jewel more durable and ready to shine like new for a lifetime and beyond.

Going beyond the Kimberley process, each stone is curated by our experts for its natural uniqueness, and carefully checked for authenticity to meet Ecksand’s highest standards of quality.
