The Ecksand Difference

At Ecksand, we go beyond sustainable craftsmanship and ethical sourcing. From empowering children’s education to championing critical health initiatives, our dedication to making a positive impact shines through every action we take.

Rooted in Values: Our Lasting DNA

For over 10 years, Ecksand has been guided by a steadfast commitment to sustainable luxury and ethical craftsmanship; values that continue to deepen, making a lasting difference in the lives of our artisans, team, and communities.

Handcrafted in Montreal, Canada, each piece embodies the perfect harmony of tradition and innovation. Our artisans, true masters of their craft, work in a culture that champions fair practices, responsibly sourced materials, and meticulous attention to detail.

Ecksand is more than jewelry. It is a legacy of over a decade of timeless design, French-Canadian artistry, and unwavering care for the planet; a celebration of creating with love, purpose, and enduring beauty. And while these additional acts of giving speak to our desire to uplift communities, our true foundation rests on something even deeper: a devotion to building sustainable longevity in a world that needs it more than ever.

Empowering Communities

At Ecksand, we have always been a proud supporter of ethical, conflict-free natural diamonds, recognizing their importance in fostering socio-economic growth in communities around the world. For example, in countries like Botswana, responsibly sourced natural diamonds have empowered local families and contributed to national prosperity. Our commitment to reducing the environmental impact of mining, such as minimizing water usage, reflects our dedication to sustainable practices while supporting the livelihoods that depend on this trade.

At the same time, we understand that each customer’s values and needs are unique. With this in mind, Ecksand has found an authentic way to embrace lab-grown diamonds as a meaningful alternative. By becoming as knowledgeable about lab-grown diamonds as we are about natural ones, we’ve ensured that this option is just as ethical and high-quality. While not all lab-grown diamonds are as “green” as they may seem, our careful selection process ensures that only the most responsibly created lab-grown diamonds are offered to our customers. Ecksand hand-selects each diamond from trusted suppliers, ensuring the best value without compromising on ethics or quality.

Sparking Curiosity with eSTIMe

At Ecksand, we believe every child should have the chance to dream big and learn fearlessly. That’s why we’re proud to support eSTIMe, a Montreal-based nonprofit dedicated to sparking interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) among primary school students. By using play, project-based learning, and accessible online tools, eSTIMe nurtures curiosity, develops essential skills, and empowers children to explore the wonders of innovation.

Erica Bianchini, Ecksand’s Co-Founder and Creative Director, serves on the board of eSTIMe, ensuring that creativity and ethics play a central role in the organization’s vision. Through interactive programs and hands-on workshops, children are introduced to coding and other STEM-related skills, giving them a vital head start in today’s tech-driven world.

A Collaboration with
Dr. Rossy for UNICEF

We joined forces with Dr. Paul Rossy, a dedicated pediatrician at the Montreal Children’s Hospital, to create the Little Seasons Collection; a heartfelt collaboration that helps raise essential funds for UNICEF. Each purchase from this collection contributes directly to UNICEF’s Children’s Relief fund, uniting craftsmanship and compassion under one meaningful purpose.

Dr. Rossy’s commitment to child health and well-being aligns seamlessly with our values at Ecksand. Through this partnership, we blend art and advocacy, creating jewelry pieces that not only capture the beauty of nature’s seasons but also support UNICEF’s mission to provide life-saving assistance to children worldwide.

24h Tremblant: Racing to Support Children’s Wellbeing

In December 2023, the Ecksand team participated in the 24h Tremblant, Quebec's premier winter sports challenge dedicated to supporting children's health and well-being. This annual event unites thousands of participants who relay in activities such as skiing, snowboarding, alpine touring, walking, and running over a continuous 24-hour period. The collective efforts of teams like ours contribute to significant fundraising, with the 2023 edition raising $6.7 million for various children's foundations.

Our team was proud to raise over $4,000, reflecting our commitment to making a positive impact in the community. Participating in the 24h Tremblant not only underscores our dedication to philanthropy but also highlights the power of community coming together to support a noble cause.
