Return and Exchanges

What is the Ecksand return policy?

If you need to return your Ecksand order, we’ve got you covered. 

Returns are accepted within 10 days from the date of availability (total refund excludes a 5% restocking fee). Beyond this time frame, all sales are considered final, and no returns will be accepted. Before returning your jewel, see if your order qualifies for a return below.

Items that do not qualify for Return are: 

  • Improperly packaged items
  • Damaged and used items
  • Items that have been altered, engraved, or resized, before or after pickup or delivery
  • Custom or personalized items that have been altered in any way (including the alteration of the stones, the design, or the engraving) 
  • Items previously exchanged
  • Items missing their certification or paperwork
  • Items over $10 000 CDN in value
  • Items returned 10 days after the date of availability (date indicated as "DELIVERY" at the middle left of your invoice)
  • Items sold through Ecksand’s Sample Sale
  • Eternity rings
  • Wedding rings (While returns are not accepted, resizes are possible on select items. See our Resize policy here)
  • Engagement rings (While returns are not accepted, exchanges are possible on select items. See our exchange policy below)
  • When "final sale" is mentioned on the item page.

Ecksand Diamond Engagement Rings only qualify for an exchange of the ring setting with a fee, depending on the new ring style selected. The diamond set in the ring is final sale. To exchange your ring setting, contact us at sales@ecksand.com or by phone at 514-804-7263 (toll-free: 1-866-726-7263) for a quote. 

Please note that in the event of a return or an exchange, a flat-discounted rate of CA$130+tx will be charged for two-way fully insured overnight shipping with FedEx.

What is the return policy on international orders?

International orders are subject to the same 10-day return policy, but customs duties are non-refundable.

Can I get a refund?

On Fine Jewelry items only, you can opt for a full store credit or a refund minus a restocking fee of 5%.

Engagement Rings and Wedding Rings are final sale.

Will I be charged shipping for my return?

In the event of a return or an exchange, a flat-discounted rate of CA$130+tx will be charged for two-way fully insured overnight shipping with FedEx.

How do I return my purchase?

Pack your order safely with all the documentation that came with the original order, then get in touch with us at sales@ecksand.com, or call us at 514-804-7263 (toll-free: 1-866-726-7263) to receive your FedEx priority fully-insured shipping label. 

You will be able to ship back your Ecksand item(s) with this FedEx shipping label at a flat-discounted return shipping fee of CA$130+tx. Please note that shipping charges are not refundable. The flat-discounted return shipping fee of CA$130+tx will be deducted from your refund amount.

Can I exchange my jewel?

You can exchange selected Ecksand jewels within 10 days of availability as indicated on your invoice, free of charge. We will provide you with a store credit to place a new order.

Can engagement rings be exchanged?

What if my item is damaged or faulty?

Contact us by phone at 514-804-7263 (toll free: 1-866-726-7263) or by email at sales@ecksand.com to find out if your jewel is covered under our warranty.

Resize Policies

Is it free to resize my ring?

Your first resize is free of charge*. Our resize includes a cleaning service in which your ring will be polished to perfection. 

Additional information: *First free resize applies to Ecksand Engagement Rings. Conditions may apply for Ecksand Fine Jewelry and Wedding Rings, given that certain styles are not resizable.

If a second resize is required, a fee will be charged.

Please note that our free resizing service does not apply to Final Sale items. Any jewel that has been resized is not returnable.

How long does it take to have my ring resized?

We resize your ring in our low-emission atelier in downtown Montreal, Canada, within 21 business days.

We can resize your ring in 5 business days for a rush fee of CA$150+tx. Since our jewelry is made to order, some rush resizes might not be possible as they’re subject to the space and/or resources we have available at that time in our Montreal atelier. How do I figure out the right ring size for me?

To know your ring size, you can use the Ecksand ring size guide available here. However, if you’re not sure or don’t have a ring that fits you perfectly, you can go to a jewelry store near you and they will measure your ring size for you.
